Duties and Responsibilities
 
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
 
  • Accounts Payable:
    • Entering Accounts payable vendor invoice into accounting system and ensure all backup is scanned for future reference.
    • Summarize vendor invoices and allocate to proper cost center or cases.
    • Review, investigate and maintain PO log for accuracy and follow up with staff member responsible for the PO on accuracy of all information.
    • Review / request key vendor statements on a monthly basis and follow-up as needed for approval from staff member
    • Summarize and maintain the reconciliation of staff members credit card transactions and ensure backup for each transaction agrees to the monthly statement.
    • Maintain vendors W9’s and assist in annual 1099 process.
  • Accounts Receivable
    • Entering Sales invoices into accounting system.
    • Reviewing AR aging to staff and assisting with collections.
    • Assist with monthly dunning notices and contact customers for payment status.
  • Support adhoc operations/administrative support projects and processes
  • Continually works toward strengthening knowledge of industry and all relevant applications
  • Communicates regularly and effectively with all colleagues
  • Meets regularly with team to provide feedback and facilitate communication
  • Adheres to all business processes while performing tasks
  • Able to take on new tasks and responsibilities as needed
  • Performing other work-related duties as assigned
 
Qualifications
 
The essential qualifications include, but are not limited to the following:
 
  • 1-3 years’ of the following:
    • Hands on accounting experience in accounts receivable and payables.
    • Thorough understanding of accounting principal
    • Excellent written, verbal, communication, research, and customer service skills
    • Excellent training, leadership and personnel skills
    • Ability to be flexible to adapt and act quickly when urgent matters require it
    • Able to work effectively with diversified individuals of various ethnic backgrounds and professional competencies
    • Project a positive, professional image toward clients, vendors and staff in all interactions and situations
    • Aggressive problem diagnosis and creative problem-solving skills
    • Maintain the highest level of confidentiality and share only on a need to know basis
    • Problem analysis and problem resolution at both a strategic and functional level
    • Display the technical skills necessary to perform all job functions
    • Project a positive, professional image toward clients, vendors and staff in all interactions and situations
    • Follow all company rules, policies and practices
    • Excellent computer skills
  • Must be presently authorized to work in the U.S. without a requirement for work authorization sponsorship by our company for this position now or in the future
Traveling

The Accounting Clerk from time to time be asked to run errands on behalf of the company.
